VALLEY STREAM, N.Y. — About 1,000 youths stormed a movie theater that had overbooked a midnight showing of “Krush Groove.” A police sergeant and a security guard were injured in the melee, authorities said.
More than 45 police officers from throughout Nassau County were called to the theater early Sunday, and the crowd was under control within an hour, Officer Robert Wheeler said.
“Krush Groove” features “rap” performers whose rhyming street talk is set to music.
