A 25-year-old man died Monday night after he crashed his motorcycle into a power pole in Lakeside, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The man, whose name was withheld pending notification of his family, was riding south on Los Coches Road near Lakeview Drive at about 7:20 p.m. when he apparently lost control of the motorcycle and ran into a roadside power pole.
He was taken by Life Flight helicopter to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where he died a short time later.
A CHP spokeswoman said the cause of the accident was unknown.
