After placing second in four previous championship matches, the L.A. Rugby Club took first place in the international division finals of the Michelob Continental Rugby tournament at Tucson. Ariz.
The club beat the Santa Monica Dolphins, 31-25, to earn the title. In the continental division final, San Luis Obispo beat Davis Monthan Air Force Base, 12-7.
