CAROL BURNETT JOINS AIDS FIGHT

NEW YORK — Carol Burnett has taped the first television public-service announcement for the newly formed American Foundation for AIDS Research.
According to foundation sources, she also has made a personal contribution of $50,000 to the new organization, the result of a merger between the Los Angeles-based National AIDS Research Foundation and the New York-based AIDS Medical Foundation.
