Count Geiger Wins Oak Tree Feature

Count Geiger, ridden by Laffit Pincay, won the $25,000 feature race by a neck over My Gallant Game Thursday at Santa Anita’s Oak Tree meeting.

Carrying 118 pounds, Count Geiger ran the 6 1/2 furlongs on the turf course in 1:15 4/5. Sent off the favorite by the crowd of 20,610, Count Geiger paid $4.20, $3.40 and $3.

Eddie Delahoussaye rode three winners. He won the fourth race with Captain Valdez, the sixth with Nancy Nancy and the ninth with Jolly Josh.
