Artists Transform Dining Tables for Design Exhibit

Noted painters, sculptors, ceramists, graphic, fashion and interior designers will transform 30 conventional dining tables into works of art Saturday at the Design Center, 433 S. Spring St.
The “Designers as Diners” exhibition, sponsored by Otis/Parsons School of Design and Mark Krasne Inc., will be on display through Nov. 30. It features works by Billy Al Bengston, Barbara Lazaroff, Kent Twitchell, David Jones, Jack Lowrance, Betye Saar, Peter Shire and others.
A scholarship benefit reception will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Mark Krasne Inc. on the eighth floor of the Design Center. A $25 donation is requested, with proceeds going to Otis/Parsons.
