With one second left, a pass thrown by Miraleste quarterback James Castel was batted by two Harvard defenders and caught by Miraleste halfback John Accardo for a touchdown. The play brought Miraleste to within two points of Harvard. . . . Merritt Robinson intercepted the two-point conversion pass to save the victory for Harvard. . . . Andy Bell scored on a 16-yard run with 6:26 left in the first half to give Harvard a 10-6 lead. . . . Quarterback Cory Thabit scored on a two-yard run, giving Harvard a 17-12 lead in the third quarter.
KEY PLAYERS
Running back Andy Bell (H) rushed for 152 yards on 34 carries and scored 1 touchdown. Cory Thabit (H) ran for one TD, recovered a Miraleste fumble and directed the Harvard offense to 245 total yards. James Castel (M) accounted for all of his team’s scores. He threw two TD passes and had a 55-yard TD run. Dom Sandifer (H) kicked two field goals, one from 53 yards, and added two extra points.
