Lincoln Clinches Final Playoff Spot

EL CAJON — The Lincoln Hornets, ranked No. 8 in The Times’ Top 10, earned the final San Diego Section playoff spot Saturday night with a 37-0 victory over Christian at Valley Stadium.
With the win, the Hornets finished second in the City Central League a game behind league champion Crawford. Lincoln (4-1, 6-3) will meet University City in the first round of the 2-A playoffs Saturday night.
Christian, which won its first six games this season, finished 7-3 overall and 2-3 in the City Central League.
