6.6 Quake Off Indonesia

HONG KONG — An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.6 on the Richter scale was recorded Sunday in the Pacific Ocean off Indonesia, the Hong Kong Royal Observatory reported. The quake was near the Indonesian province of Irian Jaya, the observatory said.
