United Telesis agreed to change its name.

The company, which operates pay telephones in Minnesota, Illinois and Texas and which plans to enter the newly opened California market through a subsidiary, Megatel of California, agreed to become Unitel Corp., leaving the “telesis” name to Pacific Telesis, the San Francisco-based parent of Pacific Bell, which also is in the coin-phone business. Unitel Corp., which trades over the counter, is not affiliated with Pacific Telesis Group.
