Notre Dame’s Faust Resigns

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Gerry Faust, who lost more games than any other Notre Dame football coach, announced his resignation today effective after Saturday’s season finale against fourth-ranked Miami.
Faust, 30-25-1 during his five years at Notre Dame, including a 5-5 mark this season, said his resignation would take pressure off his football players and help in recruiting by the university.
