Romanian Defense Minister Removed

VIENNA — Romanian Defense Minister Constantin Olteanu has been relieved of his duties, the official news agency Agerpres said Tuesday.
The agency, monitored here, said he will be succeeded by Vasile Milea, his first deputy and chief of staff. Romanian President Nicolae Ceausescu, speaking at a meeting of a high-level army group, was quoted as saying that Olteanu should transfer to party activity.
