UCLA Women Beaten in Louisiana, 73-59

RUSTON, La. — Sophomore center Erica Westbrook scored a career-high 20 points, and sophomore point guard Teresa Weatherspoon set a school record with 10 steals to lead Louisiana Tech’s women’s basketball team to a 73-59 victory over UCLA Saturday.
Louisiana Tech (10-1) will take a 54-game home winning streak into its game Monday night with second-ranked USC.
Weatherspoon also scored 16 points as Louisiana Tech overcame an 11-point first-half deficit to tie the game, 28-28, at halftime.
Dora Dome led UCLA (6-7) with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
