Fair Food Bill Tallied: Hungry crowds at the 1985 Orange County Fair doubled the revenues of food and beer concessionaires, according to fair spokeswoman Jill Lloyd. For 1985, food and beer sales totaled $257,536 for the 10-day fair, up 103% from the previous year’s total of $127,025. Beer sales increased 28%, from $64,626 to $82,960. Lloyd attributed the increase in food business during the July 12-21 fair to the relocation of booths to sites more accessible to fair goers.
