Skier Hits Machine, Dies

GRENOBLE, France — A 27-year-old skier, Thierry Valdener of Paris, was killed Sunday when he fell and slid into the path of a bulldozer-like snow-leveling machine at the French resort of Les Deux Alpes, police said Monday.
