It finally happened. As a hard-working, self-employed person, I will pay more in Social Security taxes than for federal taxes.
First came Proposition 13 where the older generation tells me it’s somehow fair that I pay twice as much property tax as my next-door neighbor. Now I must support a retired person on Social Security. I can only think that the older generation has sold out its own children out of pure greed.
