Elmer Zahurak and Gene Janecko overcame slushy conditions to win the Norton Cup two-man bobsled race with a combined time of 3:08.34 at Lake Placid, N.Y.
The victory was the fourth straight for Zahurak and Janecko in two-man bobsled competition held the Olympic Center at Mt. Van Hoevenburg. Points accumulated from the race go toward determining the U.S. National bobsled team.
