Fluor Corp. said its Daniel International unit has formed a joint venture with Melville, N. Y.-based Allen Group Inc. to design and assemble factory automation systems.
Fluor, which is based in Irvine, said the venture will be called Allen-Daniel Automation Technologies, but did not indicate the size of its investment in the venture.
Allen makes robotic equipment and test systems for engines and transmissions. Fluor is an engineering, construction and natural resources concern, and Daniel International, based in Greenville, S. C., is one of Fluor’s heavy-construction arms.
