Cal Lutheran Women End Slump

SAN DIEGO — Kim Peppi scored 13 points and pulled down 11 rebounds and Joni Thompson scored a game-high 14 points Saturday to help the Cal Lutheran women’s basketball team end a four-game losing streak with a wire-to-wire, 68-56 triumph over UC San Diego.
The victory was the Regals’ 11th of the season against 12 losses, tying their season record for wins set in 1978.
Jennifer Gregory and Heidi Jungling led UC San Diego with 12 points each.
