Chapman Sweeps Loyola in Softball

Chapman College swept a nonconference softball doubleheader from Loyola Marymount, 6-1 and 11-0, Tuesday at Chapman.
Casey Pacason pitched a one-hitter and struck out 14 batters in the first game. Claudia Moose went 2 for 3 with a run batted in.
In the second game, Diane Blankenship struck out 10 in five innings. The game was called after five innings because Chapman had more than a 10-run lead. The Panthers (2-2) got 11 hits in the second game.
Golden West 4, Grossmont 1--The Rustlers (3-0) scored all of their runs in the second inning, highlighted by a RBI triple by Dana Ramos.
