USIU Women Clinch Tie For WCAC Title

SAN DIEGO — The United States International University women’s basketball team clinched at least a tie for the West Coast Athletic Conference championship Saturday night by defeating Pepperdine, 87-78, at Serra High School.
Toya DeCree had 28 points and 8 rebounds as the Gulls (21-5 overall) won their 11 straight and improved their conference record to 10-0. Teammate Fiona Murray scored 25 points, and Yvonne Sanchez had 12 assists.
