L.A.: Love It or Leave It

Please Carol Schmidt, be thankful you are from somewhere else. I am a third-generation Angeleno. For 47 years I have lived in the South Bay area, what I consider the most desirable area of Los Angeles County, and I’m with you. I can’t stand it any longer.
I’m considering Oregon, Nevada or Arizona, and I’m scared of making the choice. But just how much more house and land I can get for my money makes me know I can do it. I will trade L.A.’s weather (when you can see it through the smog) for decent traffic and fewer obscene drivers.
So, Carol Schmidt, enjoy Michigan, and even though I kind of love L.A., I’m going to love leaving it.
