Amgen to Develop New Chemicals for Kodak
Eastman Kodak has agreed to provide approximately $10 million in cash over the next four years for Amgen, a Newbury Park biotechnology company, to develop new ways of making specialty chemicals with genetic engineering.
Under the agreement, Kodak would do the manufacturing, and the two companies would share any profit from the sale of products made with Amgen-developed technology. The profit-sharing formula was not disclosed.
Amgen has a similar deal to help Texaco make specialty chemicals.
