Fullerton Finishes Fifth in Gymnastics Meet

Second-ranked Arizona State scored 189.30 points Friday night, the highest total in the nation this season, to win a women’s gymnastics meet over four schools ranked among the nation’s top 10 at Tempe, Ariz.
Alabama, ranked fourth, was second with 186.05 points, seventh-ranked Florida finished third with 184.00, 10th-ranked Penn State placed fourth with 183.50 and fifth-ranked Cal State Fullerton was fifth with 183.45.
Fullerton’s Tina Rogers tied for third place in floor exercise with a 9.45 and was second in vault with a 9.65. Titan Kristi Robel was ninth in all-around competition with a score of 37.20.
