Philip B. Sobel has been named president of Caesars World Merchandising Inc., a newly established subsidiary of Los Angeles-based Caesars World Inc. that will develop a private-label product line for the company. Among the items being considered are men’s, women’s and children’s apparel, giftware and home furnishings, Caesars said.
Sobel most recently was vice president-corporate merchandising for Carter Hawley Hale Stores Inc., the Los Angeles-based parent of Broadway, Neiman-Marcus and other stores. Before that he was senior vice president-merchandising for Robinson’s.
