Sophomore swingman Pat Bolden was named Thursday night Cal State Northridge’s most valuable player at the team’s awards banquet. Bolden, an All-CCAA second-team selection, averaged 12.8 points for the season and 5.8 rebounds. His conference scoring average was 14.8.
Paul Hobus (best defensive player), Troy Dueker (most inspirational), Carl Cooper (most outstanding, academically and athletically) were also honored.
Melissa Sutton has been named to the Bonnie Bell All-America cross-country team.
Sutton, a junior at Newbury Park, was also elected to the Kinney Shoes All-America team. She finished sixth at the Kinney cross-country championships last December in San Diego.
