Public radio station KCRW, as part of its fund drive, has scheduled a series of broadcasts of Academy Award-winning movies that were adapted for radio in the 1930s and ‘40s.
The 24 broadcasts will begin at noon Monday, the day of the Academy Awards presentation, with “It Happened One Night,” which was named best picture in 1934 and stars Claudette Colbert and Clark Gable.
