BRIEFLY : Gossen Won’t Pitch Again This Season

Brad Gossen, a Westlake High senior, has suffered a strained rotator cuff and is not expected to pitch again this season. Gossen, who last pitched March 4, was 0-2 with a 0.64 earned run average in 11 innings.

Gossen is still in the lineup as designated hitter and is batting .461.

Westlake’s quarterback last fall, Gossen has accepted a football scholarship to Washington State.
