A boy who was abandoned by his father and neglected by his mother finally finds a family when he is sent to Boys Town. So goes the story in “Miracle of the Heart: A Boys Town Story,” a new television movie coming up Monday from 8 to 10 p.m. on KTLA Channel 5, with a repeat airing Saturday at 8 p.m.
The movie, made on location at the real Boys Town in Nebraska, stars Art Carney as an older priest who finds a way to help the delinquent youth, played by Casey Siemaszko. Jack Bannon portrays a younger priest who’s in line to succeed Carney as director of Boys Town.
The movie was directed by Georg Stanford Brown.
