MOVE Fire Area to Be Rebuilt by End of May

PHILADELPHIA — The contractor rebuilding the west Philadelphia neighborhood burned down in the police confrontation with the radical group MOVE has agreed to finish 59 of the houses by May 13, one year after the tragedy in which 11 people died.
The remaining two houses would be finished by May 31, according to an agreement with G&V; General Contractors Inc., announced Tuesday by the city. The cost of the project was set at $7.9 million.
