John Lennon was a classic rock singer. Yoko Ono is a pretentious bore. It’s not a public crusade that’s preventing people from buying tickets to her American concerts. Quite simply, the public is to be congratulated for its taste.
As a woman whose beloved husband was gunned down in front of her, Yoko will always have our sympathy and love. As a record-maker and an artist, she will have to compete in the real world of popular music.
Sorry, Yoko. We have our memories of John’s music, too. And they don’t include the music he made with you.
