Funeral services were held Monday for Jun Peter Yamasaki, a Servite High School sophomore tennis player who was killed in a skiing accident Thursday on Mammoth Mountain at Mammoth Lakes, Calif.
Mammoth Lakes Sheriff’s Dept. Deputy Mike Johnson said that Yamasaki, 15, died of massive head injuries sustained when he fell on an advanced run and struck a rock.
Yamasaki was an Anaheim Hills resident and a member of the Friars’ varsity tennis team.
