Penny Franklin, a junior transfer from Golden West College in Huntington Beach, leaped 19-3 in the long jump to beat the qualifying standard of 19-2.
Nineteen CSUN distance runners recorded their top marks of the season, but failed to qualify.
Alex Aguirre ran a 4:41.8 in the 1,500 meters and cut 16 seconds off her lifetime best in the 5,000 with a 16:53. Nena Manriquez ran a lifetime best of 4:40.7 in the 1,500 and a 16:50 in the 5,000.
Nancy Bowman ran lifetime bests of 4:41.9 in the 1,5000 and 2:19.9 in the 800. Kim Sterton also had lifetime bests in the 800 (2:15.76) and 3,000 (10:17).
CSUN track Coach Don Strametz said he is confident that all four will qualify for the nationals at the Mt. SAC Invitational on April 26.
