HARRIS STARS IN CHURCH BENEFIT
Actress Julie Harris will inaugurate a new Donald Freed one-woman show in benefit performances at St. Michael’s and All Angels Episcopal Church at 3646 Coldwater Canyon, Studio City, at 8 p.m. Saturday and 7 p.m. Sunday.
Proceeds from “Countess,” a play about Countess Tolstoy (wife of the Russian novelist) as she waits out the final hours of her husband’s life, are destined for the church’s outreach program, subsidizing its Coldwater Counseling Center, thrift shop and the Interfaith Food Pantry of North Hollywood.
A Russian-themed reception for the actress will follow both performances in the parish hall and is included in the tax-deductible donations of $100, $50 (for reserved seating) or $20 (general seating).
Reservations: (818) 763-9194 or (213) 877-7850.
