Two Escape Jail: Sheriff’s deputies were searching Thursday for two inmates who escaped from the minimum-security Theo Lacy branch jail in their underwear. Sheriff’s Lt. Larry Khune said Jose Z. Hurtado, 18, of Anaheim and Joe Lopez, 23, of Santa Ana walked away from the Orange jail about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. Khune said the two are not considered dangerous. Hurtado was serving a sentence for being under the influence of drugs and Lopez was being held on a charge of petty theft.
