Congress and the NRA

I find it reprehensible and unconscionable that many members of Congress have caved in to the pressures of the National Rifle Assn.
I feel it is a blight on our democracy when legislatures are influenced (by campaign contributions) to vote against their principles.
Must we have congressmen who consider their tenure in government as “just a job” that must be maintained at all costs, and damn the people?
