Pactel to Buy 450,000 Phones From TeleQuest

Burbank-based TeleQuest said it agreed to sell 450,000 telephones to PacTel Products of San Ramone, a joint venture of Pacific Telesis and Vodavi Technology, for an estimated $15 million over the next two years.
TeleQuest President Robert E. Lee said PacTel will become exclusive distributor of the company’s RBOC line of phones. RBOC stands for regional Bell operating companies, and the phones were so named because they were designed for sale to those companies, Lee said.
