Westworld Agrees to Lease Hospital in Imperial Valley

Westworld Community Healthcare Inc. said it has signed a definitive agreement to lease and operate Heffernan Memorial Hospital in Calexico, on the U.S.-Mexican border about 120 miles east of San Diego in the Imperial Valley.
Heffernan Memorial, the company said, serves a population of approximately 18,000. It is Westworld’s 13th operation in California and its 39th in the nation. Westworld is a rural-hospital operator headquartered in Laguna Hills. It has facilities in 14 states.
