Lloyd N. Morrisett, president and director of the John and Mary R. Markle Foundation in New York, has been named chairman of the board of trustees of the Rand Corp., a nonprofit research organization headquartered in Santa Monica. Morrisett succeeds Donald H. Rumsfeld, whose five-year term expired. Donald B. Rice continues as Rand’s president and chief executive.
