Vice President George Bush had stitches removed from his left cheek, a week after minor surgery to remove a skin cancer lesion. A Bush spokesman said he suffered no complications from the surgery, which was performed with a local anesthetic last Thursday. President Reagan, who, along with his wife, Nancy, has had the disease, has proclaimed next week Older Americans Melanoma-Skin Cancer Detection and Prevention Week.
