NEW YORK — The owner of a chain of clothing stores has set up a $20,000-a-year trust fund for the fashion model whose face was slashed in a razor attack last week, it was reported Friday.
Milton Petrie, 83, owner of the Petrie Stores, said he decided to help Marla Hanson, 24, after reading that she was attacked by two men allegedly hired by her former landlord, the New York Post said.
Petrie, who said Hanson will receive the same amount each year for the rest of her life, said the attack was “a terrible thing and I wanted to do something that would help her get through her ordeal. It was just an emotional reaction.”
