Pedestrian Killed: A 29-year-old allegedly drunk driver was arrested Sunday after he reportedly ran a red light and struck and killed a woman pedestrian on Beach Boulevard at McFadden Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol. The woman, Nhung Nguyen, 27, of Los Angeles, was crossing Beach about 2:55 a.m. when she was hit, CHP spokesman Rick Crow said. Stephen J. Orlick of Newport Beach was booked on suspicion of manslaughter and felony drunk driving at the County Jail, Crow said.
