Police raided a cockfight, arresting 15 people and confiscating 50 birds from the backyard of a house in southwest Los Angeles. Police spokesman Sgt. Clarence Jackson said that a task force of uniformed police and animal control officers was formed to investigate cockfighting noises at the house, where two men were arrested on suspicion of operating a cockfight and 13 others arrested on suspicion of attending the illegal event.
