‘Hidden Hell’

I would like to applaud Barry Bearak’s “Suits Expose Hidden Hell Behind Bars,” (Part I, June 20) for using such a wonderfully terse writing style to echo the world he was writing about.

Bearak wrote hard, lean and mean about a hard, lean and mean world behind bars.

Thank him for the wealth of information about a doubtful system and for the stimulating literature.
