Turkish Cypriot officials said they will allow U.N. relief supplies to be delivered for the first time since Friday, when they closed crossing points with the Greek Cypriot side of the island. They said two trucks will take money, foodstuffs and liquid cooking gas to ethnic Greeks who have remained in northeast Cyprus since Turkey’s 1974 military intervention divided the island. The Turkish Cypriots, who control the northern third of the island, closed the border to protest U.N. criticism of a visit by Turkish Prime Minister Turgut Ozal last week.
