Re the $28-million claim against Orange County for the mauling of Laura Small:
When will it all end? I feel very sorry for the child and her family. I have three small children, but come on, there are risks and dangers hiking in the hills and mountains. What if a snake would have bit her. A lawsuit? A rock slide. A lawsuit? That’s nature.
What if I’m swimming at Huntington Beach City Beach and a shark bites me. Do I sue the city for no warning signs? The City of Newport Beach lost a lawsuit because some man dove in without checking the bottom and broke his neck. I feel sorry for that man, but he did it. Not the city. We have to start taking some of the blame.
Hopefully, a jury won’t fall for this $28-million carnival.
