Collision Kills 9 Children

TEL AVIV — Israeli police said Friday that 10 people had died in a collision Thursday, including nine children and the driver of the van taking them home to the Jezreel Valley from a summer vacation on the coast. Police said they had not yet established what caused a semi-trailer truck carrying 30 tons of tomatoes to veer across the roadway and hit the van head-on.
