Nearly 8,000 gallons of diesel fuel sloshed across the Long Beach Freeway when a tanker truck overturned, injuring the driver and closing all northbound and some southbound lanes. The California Highway Patrol said the accident required closing the northbound freeway and two lanes of the southbound freeway between Long Beach and Del Amo boulevards for nearly five hours. Officials said the 29-year-old truck driver, who was not immediately identified, was in good condition after being treated for bumps and bruises at Long Beach Memorial Hospital.
