NHL Agreement Gets Positive Reaction

TORONTO — Alan Eagleson announced Friday that there has been an overwhelming positive reaction to the tentative agreement reached last week reached last week by the National Hockey League owners and the NHL Players’ Ass.

The vote as of noon Friday was 220 in favor and three against, said Eagleson, executive director of the players’ association.

He said some players did not receive their ballots until Thursday and the final tally would not be available until next week.
