PerfectData Narrows Loss for 1st Quarter

PerfectData said it lost $289,000 in its first quarter ended June 30, versus a year-ago loss of $695,000. Sales were $984,000, down 27%.
Per share, the Chatsworth supplier of computer maintenance equipment lost nine cents, versus a year-ago loss of 21 cents.
PerfectData, based in Chatsworth, makes computer maintenance supplies. Its business has suffered from the slump in the computer industry. Company executives couldn’t be reached for elaboration.
